James Jackson was born and raised in Virginia and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2006. James began his career in the Marine Corps at MCAS Beaufort, SC as an Aviation Ordnance Technician with Marine Squadron VMFA-122 where he deployed to Iraq. After returning from Iraq he moved onto MCAS Miramar San Diego, CA with Marine Training Squadron VMFAT-101. Upon separating from the United States Marine Corps in 2014, James continued his education and received a BS in Technical/Project Management and an MBA in Business/Project Management. James currently has a career as a Project Manager in construction and has been involved in multiple City/County revitalization projects.

James has continued to serve his community by participating in various fundraisers to give back to those in need. He has completed multiple two-day/150 mile Bike MS cycling events to raise money and awareness for multiple sclerosis and single-day Miami Dolphins Cancer Challenge century ride (100 miles) raising money to further cancer research. James has always wanted to do more to give back and through collaboration with his fellow veteran brothers the Call On Me Foundation came to fruition.
