Nicholas Dasso
Nick is originally from Massachusetts and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2006, beginning a career grounded in discipline, accountability, and service. He started his Marine Corps journey at MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina, serving as an Aviation Ordnance Technician with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron VMFA-122. During his time with the squadron, Nick deployed in support of combat operations in Iraq, contributing to mission readiness in a demanding operational environment.
Throughout his military service, Nick distinguished himself through exceptional performance and professionalism. His dedication earned him multiple accolades, including being named Marine of the Quarter at both the squadron and Marine Air Group levels — recognition that speaks to his work ethic, leadership, and attention to detail.
After honorably separating from the Marine Corps in 2010, Nick transitioned into higher education and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Mathematics from Bryant University. He currently works as an Actuarial Analyst specializing in small pension plans, where his analytical skills and precision play a critical role in long-term financial planning and stability.
Nick was immediately drawn to the idea of creating a nonprofit dedicated to supporting Veteran families during their most difficult moments. His passion for giving back, combined with his professional expertise in finance and numbers, makes him a natural fit as Treasurer for The Call On Me Foundation. In this role, Nick helps ensure the organization’s financial integrity while also supporting event planning and operational efforts.
As a Founding Member, Nick hopes the Foundation will serve as a dependable and compassionate resource for families navigating the loss of their Veteran — providing not only financial assistance, but reassurance that they are not alone.
